Society NewsHelp us present groundbreaking exhibitions and develop educational programs about our nation’s historical past for more than 200,000 schoolchildren annually. Dr. Mimi Sheller, the Director of Drexel’s Middle for Mobilities, Analysis and Policy and a professor of Sociology was recently on “Radio Times”, to debate the altering attitudes toward driving and the auto, and to look at what all this means for cities, the auto business, and the subsequent generation of drivers and their way of life. The International Association for the History of Transport, Visitors and Mobility (T²M) invites proposals for papers to be introduced at the 12th International Conference on the History of Transport, Visitors and Mobility, to be held at Drexel College on 18-21 September, 2014.

Society NewsFinding the fitting graduate college and program may be tough! By means of its grants programme, the Society works to develop new knowledge and advance geographical science. Chloe Silverman, PhD, joined the College last fall as an affiliate professor in the Heart for Science, Technology and Society. The new graphic identity feeds into their wider campaigning and audience growth work to increase consciousness, understanding, and engagement with artwork history, significantly in training.

A survey conducted by Drexel University professor and director of the Middle for Science, Expertise and Society, Kelly Joyce, PhD, reveals some important data relating to the Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ). The College of Arts and Sciences welcomes Dr. Kelly Joyce to the Department of History and Politics. The Eastern Sociological Society’s (ESS) Annual Meeting was held in Philadelphia, PA from February twenty third – 26th, 2017.
