Our under average temperatures are likely to proceed for a while as our climate pattern appears stuck in a little bit of a rut. Thirty years ago, on the night time of October 15 and 16, 1987, hurricane-drive winds with gusts of as much as one hundred thirty five mph ravaged England, the Channel Islands and northern France. The primary named storm of the year lashed the UK overnight bringing gale force winds of as much as 83mph, flying debris and overflowing rivers leading to dozens of flood alerts.
